Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide with the sequence Aib-His-D-2-Nal-D-Phe-Lys-NH₂. It acts as a selective agonist of the ghrelin/growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR). In in vitro and in vivo research models, Ipamorelin demonstrates high selectivity for GHSR without significant activity at cortisol or prolactin receptor pathways.
